The Industry’s Composite Laboratory is among the exhibitors when the 20th annual International Conference on Composite Materials, ICCM20, takes place in Copenhagen the 20-24 July 2015.

The conference includes among other things an exhibition area from Monday to Wednesday, where the Industry’s Composite Laboratory is represented with a stand.

At the stand you can meet our experts in design, analysis and testing of fibre reinforced plastics, as well as our experts in non-destructive testing inspection. Furthermore you can see different composite products and specimens and talk with us about the challenges your company faces.

Two of our experts are also among the presenters at the conference; as Composite Specialist Benjamin Hornblow is giving a presentation on ”Evaluation of epoxy/flax-fibre sandwich panels as an alternative to birch plywood on cargo bicycles” (Thursday, 9.30, meeting room 20, Biocomposites) , while Project Manager Steen Arnfred is presenting “A review of reference methods for automated ultrasonic evaluation of composite structures” (Friday, 9.30, room M7, Ultrasound and Accustic Emission).

Composites are a part of a sustainable future

The main theme for the conference in 2015 is “Sustainable Composite Solutions to Global Challenges”. The focus is therefore on the important role that composites play in the development of sustainable technologies with a lower carbon footprint and less carbon emissions.

The 10 sub themes cover all relevant areas within research and technology related to composite materials. The Industry’s Composite Laboratory is among other things contributing with knowledge about structural design, material selection, manufacturing processes and test methods.

The Industry’s Composite Laboratory – a development project

The Industry’s Composite Laboratory is a partnership between FORCE Technology, The Technical University of Denmark and Aalborg University, supported by the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation.

The objective is to link state-of-the-art knowledge institutions and the Danish industry. The target group is primarily small and medium sized companies.

Visit us at stand no. 019. The exhibition is open from the 20th-22nd of July, 2015 in the Bella Center, Copenhagen.
