Risk assesment of technical installations & operational risks
Risk assessment is a necessary tool to minimise the risk in order for your company to obtain acceptable safety for all parties, both internally and externally.
FORCE Technology provides risk assessment in connection with e.g. design and CE marking of technical installations and other installations as well as risk assessment related to operation and handling of existing plants and installations.
The companies’ need for risk assessmentMany companies are vulnerable to accidents, fire, work accidents etc., which – further to injury to personnel – may cause for instance shutdown of production and stores and entail loss of business.
Risk assessment identifies and draw attention to potential risks and dangerous situations, and assess the probability of a risk becoming reality. We lay down this crucial part of the risk assessment in collaboration with the company to meet statutory requirements for work environment, external environment and standards as well as to secure production at an acceptable level.
We perform risk assessment of existing and new technical structures and renovation of existing plants based on the above. Further, we provide operational risk assessment in which the human factor also plays an important role.
The main principles of risk assessmentRisk assessment is a necessary tool to minimise the risk in order for your company to obtain acceptable safety for all parties, both internally and externally.
FORCE Technology analyses which damage, potential risks may entail, and assesses the probability of occurrence and consequences in the event of an accident. Determination of risk profile is based on a laid down pattern of consequences of the accidents that dangerous situations may cause. Subsequently we suggest relevant remedial actions to reduce and maybe eliminate the risk.
Risk assessment is carried out by mapping of:
- Unintended events that may cause accidents, loss of production, destruction of production equipment and stores as well as impact on work environment and external environment
- Whether statutory requirements for machines, work environment and external environment are met sufficiently
- Feasibility study of the above risks
- Assessment of probability
- Cause of the matter
- Elaboration of risk profile
- Identification of the barriers which ensure that faults, if any, are impeded or minimised
- Suggestions for remedial actions.
Recognised tools for risk assessmentExecution of risk assessment according to current requirements and standards are described in e.g. the management systems ISO14001, ISO18001 and The Machinery Directive.
Risk assessment in relation with CE markingThe companies often need CE marking of new and renovated plants.
Before a machine, a technical plant or a production plant can be put in operation, it must be CE-marked in accordance with The Machinery Directive, which requires that you perform risk assessment.
- Air pollution
Make sure that your pressure equipment meets all current requirements and is supervised regularly, in order not to harm...
Organisation and planning of operation and maintenance procedures
Avoid downtime and unexpected repair by organising and planning your maintenance.
Failure and damage investigation
Determine the cause of failure and prevent it from reoccuring.
