Accredited testing of community face coverings, also known as fabric face masks and cloth face masks in accordance with CWA 17553 for manufacturers, importers, and distributors. 

Community face coverings are also known as cloth face masks, fabric face masks, DIY masks, community masks, CFC, etc., and is used to limit the spread of droplets and aerosols.

We offer accredited testing of community face coverings in accordance with the guideline CWA 17553, which is published by the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN). You can thereby document to your customers that your product meets the requirements of e.g. filtration efficiency and breathing resistance in accordance with CWA 17553. 

We also offer testing of filtering face masks and medical face masks. 

Marking of community face coverings

We offer accredited testing and verification of your community face covering including:

  • Ability to absorb water
  • Cleaning/reuse
  • Filtration efficiency
  • Strength of the elastic band

Once your product has been tested and approved in accordance with CWA 17553, you will receive a test report and a logo for marking the product’s packaging. This allows you to easily and simply document that your community face covering meets the requirements. 

Accredited test laboratory for personal protective equipment

FORCE Technology is accredited by DANAK (65 and 8) for testing community face coverings (CFC). 

NB: It depends on the national legislation whether community face coverings can be marketed and sold. In Denmark, community face covering may not be imported, sold, and marketed as personal protective equipment or as medical face masks.
