Asset Integrity Management – or AIM – has become a widely known term and standardised way of working in the oil & gas industry for the North-Sea. But what is Asset Integrity Management?

Integrity Management in a nutshell

Asset Integrity Management (AIM) is a holistic approach to safe operations throughout an assets life cycle. It is a process of continuous learning and optimisation in order to improve safety, prevent unexpected down time and reduce unnecessary use of cost and resources.

A wide range of disciplines create a solid foundation for Asset Integrity Management. A key element is knowledge and experience of materials and structures, their properties and performance and how to best acquire the necessary data on the current condition through inspection, monitoring and analysis.

Through an interdisciplinary approach, we are
able to analyse and evaluate the current and future status of the asset.
