LAN cable testing and EC VERIFIED certification apply to manufacturers, OEMs, and suppliers of cabling components used in local-area and coaxial networks. Independent qualification and verification testing is performed on LAN data cables, connecting hardware, patch cables and cords, permanent links and channels used in local area networks. Testing may be required when new cabling products are introduced, when product designs are modified or when manufacturers require independent verification of transmission or mechanical characteristics. Without recognised third-party testing, documentation may rely solely on internal measurements, making external evaluation of products more difficult.
Conformity testing
As an alternative to full EC VERIFIED qualification testing, a one-time conformity test can be conducted in accordance with the defined requirements. If the tested product meets the relevant standard requirements, an Attestation of Conformity is issued. We also offer CPR cable testing.
