A professional community for Danish companies that manufacture electronic products containing plastic.
In the network, we delve into practical dilemmas in the design phase, such as how to balance requirements for functionality against lifespan and recyclability.
It is relatively simple to design products with new materials without problematic substances. But when you want to use, for example, recycled plastic, a number of practical and regulatory challenges arise:
- What do the materials and components actually contain?
- Do you know the content of recycled materials well enough to be able to account for requirements from customers in relation to, for example, REACH and RoHS?
- How do you assess quality?
- How do you protect yourself against unwanted chemicals such as PFAS?
- How do you ensure traceability and get the necessary documentation from suppliers?
In the network, you will also be updated on EU legislation, upcoming bans and economic incentives, such as lower taxes for the use of recycled plastic in packaging. The new legislation places demands on companies, but also provides new strategic opportunities.
Circular product design is not only an environmental necessity, it is also an opportunity to strengthen your company's competitiveness.
Who is the network for?
Companies that produce products with electronic and plastic components – e.g. computer accessories, industrial electronics, medical devices, lamps, toys, household appliances.
The network gives you access to:
- Practical knowledge and methods
- Sparring on design choices and materials
- Insight into upcoming EU requirements and documentation
- Exchange of experience with other companies
It is free to join the network.
How the meetings in the network work
We hold half-day network meetings 3-4 times a year – preferably on-site meetings, but online meetings can also occur.
The network meetings are held at Force Technology or in member companies.
Language
Please note that meetings and communication regarding the network are in Danish.
