Efficient energy storage and conversion for the future energy system

The initiative focuses on developing a coherent energy system through advanced energy storage and conversion technologies. Work includes low- and high-temperature storage, batteries, chemical high-temperature storage, and thermal storage. Additionally, system integration of biogas and pyrolysis is prioritised. Secure data exchange and metrological standards support market adoption. Key activities include mapping technology gaps, digital twin applications, standardisation and demonstration projects.
