New chairman to drive growth at leading GTS Institute
On 1 May, Niels Ahrengot will take over as Chairman of the Board at FORCE Technology, succeeding Jesper Haugaard.
FORCE Technology is entering a new chapter of growth and development with a strong new Chairman at the helm.
Niels Ahrengot, founder and CEO of Implement Consulting Group - one of Denmark’s largest consultancy firms with over 2,000 employees - brings a wealth of leadership experience from the Danish business landscape. He has deep expertise in management consulting and project execution, combined with a strong track record in scaling time-based service businesses. These capabilities will support FORCE Technology’s continued strategic development.
As an RTO, FORCE Technology has a distinct mission: to create value for businesses and society by applying the latest technological knowledge. This mission is close to Niels’ heart, and he holds deep respect for the vital role RTO’s play in advancing technology in Denmark.
With a background in civil engineering and a PhD from DTU, Niels is also technically well-aligned with FORCE Technology, which employs more than 1,000 engineers, technicians, and other specialists.
“We look forward to benefitting from Niels’ capabilities, which complement those of our board and suit a complex and highly specialised company like FORCE Technology,” says Tommy Bysted, CEO of FORCE Technology.
As part of the board transition, two new members will also join: Thomas Bak, Dean at Aalborg University, and Jørgen Høll, CEO of Skallerup Seaside Resort.

Thank you to a longstanding Chairman
Niels steps into the role following the planned departure of Jesper Haugaard, who has served on the boards of DELTA and later FORCE Technology for a total of 22 years - four of them as Chairman. The change comes in accordance with FORCE Technology’s statutes, which allow a maximum of nine years of board service.
Jesper has played a key role in ensuring continuity and stability in board operations, while also pushing the company toward a more business-oriented direction. He has helped steer several important acquisitions and divestments, supporting the emergence of new technologies and new companies under the FORCE Technology umbrella.
Known for his strong focus on people - customers, employees, and fellow board members alike - Jesper has also been instrumental in shaping a board with the right mix of competencies for the company’s evolving needs.
He concludes his tenure on a high note: 2024 marks the strongest financial performance in FORCE Technology’s history.
“Jesper has been a tremendous asset to our board. True to form, he is stepping down at just the right time - leaving the company well-positioned for future investment and growth. With a strong financial foundation in place, Niels has every opportunity to continue our positive trajectory,” says CEO Tommy Bysted.
