Get coordinated product testing, examination and pre-evaluation to document how products perform against applicable standards and regulations.

Manufacturers and product developers may require documented product testing or examination when new equipment, prototypes or existing products must be evaluated against applicable standards or regulations. This typically occurs when products must undergo testing or type examination before documentation can be prepared.

Pre-evaluation and accredited product testing

The service is part of a suite of mechanical and climatic test services and provides a single point of contact who coordinates pre-evaluation and testing in our laboratory. The scope includes testing of personal protective equipment (PPE), materials and components, lifejackets, immersion suits, buoyancy aids and chemical PPE, as well as testing of new products and prototypes, including full-scale testing where relevant.

Certification handled independently by Force Certification A/S

Where certification is required, product certification may be handled by Force Certification A/S, which operates separately from the testing and evaluation activities performed by Force Technology.

Challenges

When applicable standards and testing requirements are unclear, product testing and documentation can be delayed.

Unclear standards slow preparation for testing

When manufacturers cannot determine which EN, ISO or USCG-related standards apply to a product, it becomes difficult to define the correct test scope. This uncertainty can delay the preparation of testing activities and documentation required for product examination.

Fragmented testing activities create documentation gaps

When testing and evaluation activities are carried out without coordination, documentation can become inconsistent. This makes it difficult for development teams to maintain a clear overview of which tests have been completed and how results relate to product examination or type examination.

Limited early evaluation complicates prototype testing

When new equipment or prototypes enter testing without a prior assessment of applicable standards and testing requirements, the process can involve additional clarification steps. This can extend the time needed to complete testing and documentation.

Benefits

Get documented testing and evaluation activities that support technical documentation and product assessment

Clarify applicable standards and testing requirements

Early dialogue and pre-evaluation help identify relevant standards and testing requirements. This provides a clearer basis for planning product testing and preparing documentation.

Maintain overview of coordinated testing

A single contact person coordinates testing, examination and documentation activities. This helps maintain a consistent overview of testing results and related documentation.

Prepare products and prototypes for testing

Pre-evaluation clarifies the expected testing scope for new products, equipment or prototypes. This helps development teams prepare samples and documentation before formal testing begins.
