A machine-readable calibration certificate is attracting great interest
In our digital world, the calibration certificate is an analogue source of valuable data. A digitalisation of calibration certificates into a harmonised and unambiguous machine-readable system will mean streamlining administrative processes and making calibration data applicable to process optimisation and advanced analysis tools.
‘Digital Calibration Certificate’ (DCC) is a proposal for such a format. The development of DCC is taking place at European level through the European Metrology Programme for Innovation and Research (EMPIR).
The necessity of DCC and its many possibilities
This white paper explains the necessity of DCC and provides an understanding of the opportunities and challenges inherent in DCC. Based on ongoing research projects, results and future projects, this white paper provides an insight into where DCC stands now and where it is heading.
