Use FORCE Inspect QAL to document that the requirements for QAL 3 internal quality control are met.

Waste incineration facilities, power plants and large industrial facilities must ensure that AMS systems comply with EN 14181. In addition to regular AMS calibration, FORCE Inspect QAL supports independent QAL 3 monitoring and maintains documentation online for authority use.

Online overview of meters and sites

FORCE Inspect QAL is a web based software solution for continuous monitoring of QAL 3 values. It provides access to all meters across facilities without physical presence. Data is available online, supports file sharing and several users can work simultaneously. The service is part of our asset integrity expertise area and is available in both Denmark and Norway.

Challenges

If AMS measurements are not monitored systematically, instruments risk going out of control.

Missing QAL 3 records weaken documentation

Facilities using EN 14181 compliant AMS systems must document independent monitoring of sensor status. Without systematic QAL 3 records, preparing official documentation for authorities becomes more difficult and time consuming.

Drift outside limits can go unnoticed

If zero or span values move outside control limits without clear visualisation or alarms, users may not react in time. This makes it harder to show that meters remain within established limit values during operation.

Multiple meters reduce operational overview

Large plants often use several meters and may manage more than one facility. When QAL 3 data is spread across sites or files, it becomes difficult to maintain a full overview of meter status, deviations and documentation.

Separate documents create inefficient handling

QAL 1 certificates, QAL 2 reports and AST results are often needed together with QAL 3 data. If these documents are stored separately, retrieval, sharing and communication with authorities become less efficient.

Benefits

Maintain documentation and overview of QAL 3 monitoring for AMS systems

Document QAL 3 compliance for authorities

Structured QAL 3 records make it possible to prepare and present documentation when required, supporting communication with authorities and internal documentation processes.

Maintain overview across multiple facilities

A consolidated view of QAL 3 data across meters and sites supports coordination, follow-up and documentation management.

Support timely follow-up on measurement deviations

Clear identification of deviations enables users to assess their relevance and determine when further investigation or operational follow-up is required.
