Test large components under controlled atmospheric conditions to simulate offshore and onshore environments.
The facility supports engineers, working with large components exposed to demanding climates. It is used to verify performance before installation, where uncertainty related to corrosion and system behaviour can delay decisions.
Combined environmental testing
As one of the largest commercially available climate chamber in Northern Europe (900 m³), it enables several climatic testing services under temperature, humidity and sun exposure fully reflecting extreme offshore and land-based environments. Results support evaluation of performance supporting planning and interpretation.

Target group and benefits
Support engineering and development teams by enabling reliable design and deployment decisions based on validated performance.
The facility supports manufacturers and engineering teams, e.g., in the defence industry, working with systems operating under demanding conditions. Results provide insight into system performance under climatic stress and support risk assessment and design refinement, creating a clearer basis for technical decisions and reducing uncertainty in installation processes.

Use cases
Validate performance, durability and system functionality to support design, approval and deployment decisions.
Low temperature and Arctic validation
Evaluate system stability and functionality under extreme low temperature conditions. Identifies temperature-related limitations and supports qualification for operation in cold and Arctic environments.
Durability assessment
Assess material and system response to combined environmental exposure. Supports evaluation of degradation mechanisms and material performance under realistic climatic conditions.
Functional validation of integrated systems
Evaluate system interaction and integrity under climatic stress. Supports verification of functionality in systems where performance depends on multiple interconnected components.
