The course is designed for engineering departments in food and biotechnology companies, as well as professionals involved in equipment acquisition or technical quality assurance. Aim

The course aims to equip participants with a robust foundation for conducting hygienic design risk management, as required by FSSC 22000 and BRCGS certification schemes. It intends to provide insights into the essential aspects of hygienic design risk management, along with available models and resources from EHEDG and FORCE Technology, to support the process of managing risks associated with hygienic design and operation.

Content and format

1 hour On-demand webinar on introduction to key elements of EU legal requirements and EHEDG hygienic design criteria which supports hygienic design risk assessment and demands for hygienic design risk management from Global Food Safety Initiative, FSSC 22000 and BRCGS.

10.00 - 10.30  Welcome,  introduction and questions 

10.30 – 12.00 Hygienic design risk assessment based on EHEDG guideline 34 & 58 and the European standard EN 1672-2:2020

13.00 – 14.30 The toolbox: The V-model, the URS (User Requirement Specification) as foundation for solution and qualification, interactions between activities across the lifetime of equipment. With case story and some examples from EHEDG guideline 58.

14.30 – 14.45 Break 

14.45 – 15.15 Break-out session with assignments

15.15 – 16.00 Summary, Q&A and discussion 

Handouts, check lists and guidance documents are made available to the participants prior to the course.
The course is taught in English based on material from EHEDG and FORCE Technology.

Trainer

Alan Friis is an EHEDG authorized trainer and evaluation officer and has worked with hygienic design since 1998 at Technical University of Denmark, as an independent consultant and since 2020 as a senior team leader at FORCE Technology.

Upon registration you receive an order confirmation and a request for detailed information. The course fee is invoiced prior to the course and must be paid at latest 1 week before course start.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation of participation must be sent to FORCE Technology (ehedg@forcetechnology.com)
  • Up to four weeks in advance of the event, course fee will be reimbursed except for an administration fee on 100 €.

  • Thereafter and until 2 weeks in advance of the event, 50% of the course fee will be reimbursed.
  • For cancellations within 2 weeks prior to the event, the full participation fee will be charged.
In stead of cancellation, a colleague can always attend on a fully paid place.
