FORCE Technology and DBI acquire activities from 3P Third Party Testing ApS
3P Third Party Testing ApS – a well-established Danish niche company specialising in accredited fire and electrical testing as well as certification of cables and accessories – is transferring its business areas as part of an upcoming generational change.
The two Danish GTS institutes, FORCE Technology and DBI (The Danish Institute of Fire and Security Technology), have entered into an agreement with the owner of 3P to ensure the company’s activities are continued in Denmark. Under the agreement, FORCE Technology will take over and continue 3P’s electrical testing and certification services, while DBI will assume responsibility for the fire testing activities.
Both parties express great satisfaction with the agreement, which preserves and further develops important testing and certification competencies in Denmark. Both institutes already hold strong positions within their respective fields – electrical testing (FORCE Technology) and fire testing (DBI) – making them natural successors to 3P’s core activities.
Strengthened market position
With this acquisition, FORCE Technology significantly strengthens its position in testing and certification. The company is taking over 11 specialised employees and more than 200 customers from 3P, effectively doubling its business in this area. The activities will be integrated into the Compliance & Product Testing business unit, part of FORCE Technology’s network of 1,000+ employees and extensive testing infrastructure across the Nordic region.
For DBI, the acquisition expands its fire testing capabilities and further reinforces its position as a leading Northern European fire testing institute. DBI currently employs around 400 people and looks forward to advancing the area with the new activities.
Future collaboration
Going forward, FORCE Technology and DBI will collaborate closely in the field of cable testing. This cooperation will support both organisations’ growth and innovation in a market that increasingly demands documentation, safety and quality.
