Learning day: Digital calibration certificates
Join us on December 3, 2024, for a learning day on the development and standardization of Digital Calibration Certificates (DCC) and their impact on the future of calibration.
Digitalised Calibration Certificates in PDF format are widely used in Denmark. To achieve further benefits from digitisation, such as the automatic transfer of information and data points from the certificate to a database, new machine-readable data formats known as DCC are required.
International harmonisation and standardisation of DCC
In recent years, there has been significant progress in the development of DCC formats. However, differing solution proposals have also brought increased attention to the need for international harmonisation and standardisation. Since 2022, Denmarks National Metrology Institute (DFM) has led a working group in TC-IM 1448, focused on harmonising DCC across Europe. In April 2024, the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) initiated a global working group on DCC, where DFM will represent Danish priorities and user case studies.
Understand the standards of the future
To highlight the current Danish needs, requirements, and challenges related to DCC, FORCE Technology, in collaboration with DFM and the Danish Technological Institute, is hosting a focus day on 3rd December 2024, focusing on the status of the development and standardisation of digital calibration certificates.
This event provides the three organising companies with the opportunity to gather input from attending end-users and bring it to the international DCC development and harmonisation groups in which Denmark is actively involved.
Additionally, we have arranged for four international speakers who will give participants insights into global developments:
- Janet Miles (BIPM)
- Thomas Krah (PTB, Germany)
- Mark Kuster (NCSLII)
- Sami Koskinen (Beamex)
