FORCE Technology is now accredited to inspect and certify tents

Legally required inspection and certification of tents and other transportable structures 

Tents and similar structures used for events, fairs or temporary sales areas are subject to legal inspection and certification requirements. With its new accreditation, FORCE Technology can now offer everything from visual inspections and assessment of technical documentation to final inspection reports and certification.

"Our inspection and certification of tents verify that the structure is safe to use, meets fire safety standards and can withstand the intended load. This is crucial for organisers and authorities when large gatherings are involved," says Jens Dahlslund, Operations Manager.

When is certification required for tents and transportable structures?

According to the Danish executive order on certification of transportable structures (BEK no. 673 of 01/07/2019), tents and similar structures erected without a building permit and used for up to six weeks must be certified. Certification is valid for up to five years and can be renewed three times.

Typical examples of tents that require certification include: 

• Circus tents and large assembly tents
• Tents for events with more than 50 people or larger than 50 m²
• Sales tents over 100 m², e.g. at flea markets
• Restaurant and bar tents
• Concert tents or tents with mast sails.
