Building engineers learn about Digital Factory Mapping
Students learn how the Digital Factory Mapping approach, adopted in the DFA programme, can be used in building companies.
Digital factory Mapping: Maximise the value of production equipment
Translating digitalisation in production into actual value is fundamental for all manufacturers that build their competitive advantage on the performance of their production operations. But where do you start? How do you do it? What are your "low-hanging fruits" and long-term potentials? What is their business value? The Digital Factory Acceleration programme, co-financed by the Danish Industry Foundation takes advantage of the Digital Factory Mapping approach.
The approach, developed by FORCE Technology, adopts state-of-the-art knowledge to maximise the value you can get from your production equipment by identifying the digitalisation projects with the highest efficiency improvement potential, quantifying such potential and formulating a concrete activity plan to capture it.
Students learn how to enable the digital transformation of building operations
On March 16, 2023, Aalborg University hosted an online lecture for Building Engineering students focused on adopting the Digital Factory Mapping approach to enable the digital transformation of production and building operations.
The FORCE Technology presentation introduced the Digital Factory Mapping approach and its objectives. The attendees went through its application in an actual use case. They reflected on the challenges to address when applying the method, and of the possibilities in applying it in building environments.
The presentation of the Digital Factory Mapping approach by FORCE Technology at Aalborg University is one of the many knowledge dissemination activities sponsored by The Danish Industry Foundation, aiming to spread knowledge generated during the Digital Factory Acceleration programme.
