Our force and pressure laboratory is the industry’s overall access to calibration of pressure measuring equipment and force measuring equipment.
The biggest force calibration machine in Denmark
In the force laboratory, you find the biggest fully automatic force calibration machine in Denmark, which is capable of handling pressure and force up to 200 tons (2000 kN) with an accuracy of 0.02 % relatively. This makes it 5 times more accurate than similar force calibration equipment in the Danish market and it is the only one of its kind in Denmark.
The largest measuring range within pressure in Denmark
The pressure laboratory has pressure reference equipment for calibration of pressure gauges and a vacuum chamber for calibration of vacuum meters available.
The pressure laboratory covers an absolute pressure of 10μPa to atmospheric pressure with an uncertainty of 6μPa in the high vacuum range and between 0.005 – 0.30% in the rough and medium vacuum range.
The measuring range itself is unique in Denmark and the laboratory in Brøndby is thus at the same level as foreign reference laboratories and has direct traceability to international primary standards.
What we offer within force and pressure calibration at the laboratories
Accredited vacuum calibration is performed in the range from 10µPa to 150 kPa, with an uncertainty down to 6μPa in the high vacuum range and between 0.005 – 0.30% in the rough and medium vacuum range. Calibration is primarily performed with nitrogen as calibration medium
Calibration of all kinds of vacuum meters:
Capacitance Diaphragm Gauge (CDG)
Spinning Rotor Gauge (SRG)
Hot-Cathode ionization
Cold-Cathode ionization
Pirani
Vacuum sensor
Vacuum transfer standard
The calibration can take place either statically or at stationary balance with various connecting flanges including KF, CF, VCR-4, NPT, BSP etc.
Calibration of a vacuum meter is performed by directly comparing one or more reference meters, which have measuring ranges that match each other in order to obtain the lowest uncertainty.
The calibration takes place in a set-up consisting of a calibration chamber with the purpose of exposing the reference meters and the vacuum meter to the same medium, a number of working and reference meters, pumps for evacuation of the chamber as well as a gas regulation system for adjustment of the vacuum in the chamber.
At FORCE Technology’s calibration chamber, there are 8 connection flanges at a common equatorial plane to which the vacuum meters, working and reference meters can be connected.
Calibration can be performed either statically or at stationary balance. It is the measuring range that determines which method to use.
As for static calibration, the pump valve is closed and gas is introduced into the calibration chamber until reaching the requested calibration point. When using the stationary balance method, the pump system valve remains totally open or partly closed and gas is fed into the calibration chamber until reaching the requested calibration point.
