The lighthouse for digital innovation event
Sharing key learnings from the Digital Factory Acceleration program in Esbjerg - in collaboration with Business Esbjerg.
On December 5th FORCE Technology held one of the “Lighthouse for Digital Innovation” events, in collaboration with Business Esbjerg.
The goal of these events - co-financed by Industriens Fond as part of the Digital Factory Acceleration program - is to share with Danish SMEs the learnings obtained through the programme. The aim is to extend the reach of the Digital Factory Acceleration program across the entire country and to provide practical inspiration to understand how to use digitalisation to increase production efficiency and, ultimately, competitiveness. In fact, it is particularly challenging for small and medium-sized companies to identify digitisation opportunities and turn them into tangible value by themselves, due to the lack of competencies, of development resources or of clear business potentials.
The event, hosted by FORCE Technology Esbjerg, focused on the current key learnings from the Digital Factory Acceleration programme. Production managers and innovation managers from local small and medium-sized production companies heard about the most recurrent issues identified across Danish manufacturers, the related impact and the solution proposals to address them.
Specifically, FORCE Technology presented its experience with how companies can achieve production optimisation by going through a full case, showing how to reduce process waste through paperless production solutions, how to free up capacity through the integration of different IT systems - going from scheduling to inventory management - and how to reduce manual labor cost while increasing capacity through loading/unloading automation solutions.
