e-marking of prepackages guarantees that you avoid possible hindrance to exports of prepackages. With e-marking, you cannot be denied export of your products in an EEA country provided reasons for lack of net contents.

The e-mark ensures easier export of prepackages

e-marking guarantees that products are packed according to applicable EU Directive.

The e-mark is mutually accepted by all countries in the EEA. That means the EU countries plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and Turkey. As a producer or an importer, you are ensured easier export and import of your products in the above-mentioned countries.

FORCE Technology offers consultancy about the e-marking rules, to ensure that your company comply with the legal requirements.

e-marking is an international and approved parameter within trading

As an exporter, e-marking your products allows you to guarantee the average quantity of content stated at the prepackages. At the same time, the requirements specify the tolerable negative error of a single prepack. For that reason, you can use the e-marking regulations as a basis for agreement between you and your customer.

As an importer of prepackages from all EEA countries, you are free to import into the EEA countries. However, import of e-marked prepackages from countries outside EEA requires compliance with the requirement for documentation of the quantity control – as the case for manufacturing in Denmark.

FORCE Technology offers consultancy to both importers and exporters of prepackages in Denmark.

How to obtain e-marking of your prepackaging

e-marking is a voluntary scheme that you as a company can report the use of yourself to the Danish Safety Technology Authority.

The Danish Safety Technology Authority has prepared a guide about using the e-mark.

As the guide does not cover all the conditions a company may encounter, FORCE Technology offers:
  • advice about establishing a quantity control system that meets the legal requirements
  • regular inspection visits to ensure that your quantity control system delivers batches of prepackages that comply with the legal requirements.

Epsilon-marked measuring container bottles (3)

The epsilon-mark is relevant to producers of bottles. Epsilon-marked bottles allow the packers using the e-mark to control the quantity without breaking the packaging. The epsilon-mark is also useable as basis for an agreement for the quantity that the bottle can contain when filled accordingly.

FORCE Technology offer consultancy about establishing a quantity control system, as well as regular inspection visits, to ensure that your quantity control system delivers batches of epsilon-marked measuring container bottles that comply with the legal requirements.
