Addressing growing demands for offshore wind energy

The demand for green energy is surging, increasing the need for larger, more efficient wind turbine components like extended blades. To maintain its competitive edge, the Danish wind turbine industry has launched AIOLOS - a collaboration between leading industry and academic partners - to drive innovation in manufacturing processes.

Advancing manufacturing efficiency

By integrating advanced automation and digitization into Siemens Gamesa's factory in Aalborg, AIOLOS seeks to:

  • Boost production capacity without proportional cost increases.
  • Enhance flexibility and product quality.
  • Create new job opportunities in fields like robotics management and data analysis.

This initiative ensures the Danish wind turbine industry remains globally competitive while meeting environmental goals.
