First-attempt product approvals will ensure increased competitiveness for Danish companies.

Purpose

Risk and safety management for electronic products is about controlling and minimising risks to people, the environment, and property alike.

New standards for appropriate implementation of risk and safety management are a growing challenge for businesses, and they complicate product development and approval. At the same time, new standards threaten to introduce sustainable design requirements.

Lack of conformity in both cases is a potential impediment to market access.

In this activity, we will create specific, digitised tools; solution-oriented guidance; and a palette of testing methods to support companies' development and approval processes.

The main objective of this activity is for FORCE Technology's customers to have their products approved on the first attempt; in doing so, their competitiveness will be increased, based on global marketing of better, safer, more sustainable products — on time.

Target group

The target group for the project is small- and medium-sized Danish businesses developing and manufacturing safety-critical products.

Partners

This project is being conducted in collaboration with the University of Southern Denmark, the Technical University of Denmark, and the Danish Institute for Fire and Safety Technology.
